About Learning and Participation
We love creating original music and we love creating it with unique and extraordinary people of all ages.
We do it by:
1. Believing that everybody, regardless of experience or ability can take an active part in music making
2. Everyone can achieve amazing musical things within there own abilities
3. Creating safe, supportive and friendly environments in our workshops
4. Giving people amazing performing opportunities at extraordinary venues and festivals
We are also passionate about people taking part in music-making and our learning and participation team, Music in Action, has now an impressive portfolio, working with many schools, music hubs, festivals and venues throughout the South West.
We help everyone we work with to create the own unique music in any style and then weave it into orchestral textures and forms, and we don’t use any notation! This is followed by intensive rehearsals, (following exactly the same processes as the orchestra), in preparation for the concert.
To date, Music in Action performances have been hosted by many of the most highly regarded festivals and venues in the region including at Party in the City at Bath Abbey, Salisbury International Festival, Greenbelt Festival, Wiltshire Music Centre and Gloucester Cathedral.
